Contexte & message

Il y a quelques temps, Perrie a annoncé sa rupture avec Zayn, ancien membre des 1D. Beaucoup de dramas, comme d’habitude, mais Perrie n’a pas voulu laisser paraître l’image de la fille dévastée. Alors, quoi de mieux qu’une bonne chanson? Hair fait clairement référence au jeune homme, mais permet à chaque fille de s’identifier. Le groupe montre alors que la musique restera leur seul objectif. Perrie n’est pas majoritaire dans les solos, ce qui appuie sur la solidarité des filles après ce moment difficile.

La chanson se veut tout sauf dramatique. Une musique très rythmée, utilisation des percussions, synthétiseur .. tout pour redonner la pêche. Le message est très positif : sortir ce garçon de sa tête, s’amuser & lui prouver qu’on en a fini avec lui.

Cette chanson n’est pas un single, mais a connu un début incroyable. En effet, les filles n’ont pas voulu faire de cette chanson leur prochain single, mais un échantillon de l’album qui sort le 6 novembre, en même temps que le clip. Le titre a fait une entrée au TOP 40, faisant de la chanson/non single la 2ème à entrer dans ce classement, avec These four walls.
